Traffic Alert for Patriot Center December 11 & December 18

On Tuesday, December 11, expect very heavy traffic on and around the Fairfax campus for the Hot 99.5 Jingle Ball concert featuring Justin Bieber, Ke$ha, Enrique Iglesias, Flo Rida, Cher Lloyd with Becky G., Ed Sheeran, Austin Mahone and PSY at the Patriot Center at 7:00 pm. The Shenandoah Parking Deck permit area will be available as overflow Patriot Center and General Permit parking.

The following week on Tuesday, December 18, expect heavy traffic for The Killers concert at the Patriot Center that begins at 7:30pm.

For both concerts, doors open at 6:00pm. Expect traffic to be heaviest from 5:30pm until 7:30pm and then leaving campus from 10:00pm until 11:30pm. As with any large Patriot Center event we recommend you avoid Braddock Road and access campus via University Drive, Mason Pond Drive, or Roberts Road. It is strongly advised to avoid General Permit areas A,C,K,& L and consider using the General Permit area on levels 1-2 of the Rappahannock River Parking Deck or Field House General lots M, O & P to avoid the heaviest traffic. The roof of the Rappahannock River Parking Deck may be opened for overflow General Permit parking should the General parking areas fill.
