Parking and Traffic Impacts During Housing Move-In

August 21-25, 2013

Between August 21-August 25, 2013, there will be several parking and traffic closures and impacts around the Fairfax Campus to accommodate the move-in of 6,000 resident students. The move-in process has been coordinated with Housing and Residence Life, University Police, Parking & Transportation, Environmental Health & Safety, and other key units to make the move in process, including for over 2,200 freshmen living on campus, as efficient as possible. We realize there will be some inconveniences to the campus community, but making this move-in process work well is a university priority. We appreciate everyone’s cooperation over these several days.

Parking Closures/Impacts

Parking Lots C and L and will be completely closed from 10pm on Wednesday, August 21 until 6pm on Thursday, August 22.

The reserved level gates will be open to accommodate families and students moving in to the residence halls.
