Increased Parking & Traffic for February Events

During the month of February, there are several weeknight Mason Men's basketball games at the Patriot Center that will bring increased parking and traffic to the Fairfax Campus.
Basketball games:
Wednesday, February 5th(vs. Dayton),
Wednesday, February 19th(vs. St. Louis),
Wednesday, February 26th(vs. Richmond).
Each game starts at 7pm, with doors opening at 6pm. Expect the increased traffic from 5pm-7:30pm on these nights.

As well, we expect increased parking and traffic for the Robin Thicke concert at the Patriot Center on Thursday, February 27th at 8pm. Expect the increased traffic from 6pm-8:30pm.

Traffic: It is recommended to allow extra time commuting to and leaving campus on these evenings and avoid the Braddock Road corridor if possible, utilizing other entrances and exits to campus.

Parking: The Shenandoah Deck permit area on levels 4-5 will be open as overflow general permit and event parking for these events.

For class parking, it is advisable to use the Rappahannock River Deck to avoid the event parking and traffic.

Alternative Transportation: Check zimride.gmu.edu, Mason's own ridesharing system, to help find a carpool partner to campus for class or the game.
