Lot G Is Now Closed - Where Can You Park?

Parking Lot G closed December 11, 2009 at 11:00PM so construction can begin on the new Administration Building (University Hall).  Faculty and staff general (surface) lot parkers will still have dedicated parking areas between 7:00am - 5:00pm on Monday through Friday in the following areas:

Faculty/Staff parking permits are also valid in all of the general (surface) lots on campus, as well as the general permit parking area in the Rappahannock River Parking Deck (all of level 2, and the ¾ of level 1 not designated as visitor parking).

With the closing of Lot G, we expect the faculty/staff designated parking areas to fill up on a regular basis between 8am – 5pm, Mon-Fri.  To try and alleviate some of this congestion we are encouraging all general (surface) lot faculty/staff parkers to consider purchasing annual Rappahannock River Parking Deck reserved parking permits (level 3).  The reserved Rappahannock River Parking Deck faculty/staff permits guarantee you a parking space and are valid in all faculty/staff general (surface) parking spaces with the following exception:

As a result of the closing of Lot G, the price of the reserved Rappahannock River Parking Deck faculty/staff permits will be dropped to $340 for the remainder of this year only ($110 below normal annual deck rates). Any existing faculty/staff member that is currently in possession of a Rappahannock River Parking Deck reserved permit will be refunded the $110 difference.  Please stop by the Parking Services Office next to the Sandy Creek Parking Deck to process your upgrade or to request a refund.  Please make sure to bring your current permit with you.  If you have a payroll deduction permit for general (surface) lots now, we will exchange it for a payroll deduction permit for the Rappahannock River Parking Deck. The Parking Services Office is open Monday through Friday from 8:30am – 5:00pm with extended hours on Tuesdays until 7:00pm.

If you decide to take advantage of the reserved permit for the Rappahannock River Parking Deck, there is a $25 refundable deposit that is required for the access device that will allow you to enter/exit your reserved area of the Rappahannock River Parking Deck (level 3).
