SUB I Lot Closed To All Parking Effective August 24, 2009
Effective Monday, August 24, no George Mason faculty, staff, student, or visitor parking will be allowed in the parking lot behind SUB 1 located off Aquia Creek Ln. Besides construction vehicles, only delivery vehicles will be allowed into the lot in order to make deliveries. The lot closue is being done to allow for the continued construction of the SUB I expansion project.
For those individuals that have been utilizing the disabled parking in the SUB I parking lot, they may obtain an access card from the Parking Services office to park in the permit levels of Mason Pond Deck (Levels 3-5). In order to be issued a Mason Pond Deck access card, one must have a valid faculty/staff or student permit and a DMV issued disabled placard or license plate. A $25 refundable deposit is required for the issuance of an access card. Once one has the access card, they should enter the permit section at the Level 3 entrance off Aquia Creek Ln and then use one of the disabled spaces on Levels 3,4, and 5. A disabled path of travel has been put in place from the northeast corner of Mason Pond Deck (adjacent to the Student Apartments) across Aquia Creek Ln to the side of SUB I near the new entrance to the Rathskeller (formerly Damons).
