Special Hours of Operation During Spring Break
During the week of March 11 - 15 all Parking Services offices on all campuses will close at 5:00PM. There will be no late hours.
Monday and Wednesday: 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Tuesday: 8 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Thursday: 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Friday: 8 a.m. to 12 Noon
(NOTE: The office will close between 12:30 - 1 p.m. for lunch.) Visit the Parking Services web site for additional information.
Parking is enforced at the Prince William Campus. All faculty, staff, and students must display a valid George Mason University parking permit. All permits can be purchased online. Faculty/staff wishing to use the payroll deduction purchase option use this form.
Mason parking decals issued at Fairfax and Arlington Campuses are honored at the Prince William Campus; Prince William parking decals are honored at Fairfax but NOT at Arlington without permission from Parking Services.
Visitors to the Prince William Campus may park in the Occoquan and Discovery Lots and are required to display valid parking permits or to pay for hourly metered parking. Permits are sold in the Parking Services Office. Metered parking is paid for at the Parking Pay Station machine located at the Occoquan Parking Lot Information Kiosk.
Parking in the Freedom Center Parking Lot is restricted to Freedom Center patrons only. Even Mason students attending class in the Freedom Center may not use that lot without having purchased a Freedom Center membership. Mason faculty and students must use Occoquan, King, or Discovery lots or risk receiving a parking ticket.
Parking Pay Station Instructions
Machines are located at the Occoquan Parking Lot Information Kiosk. The machines sell metered parking for $1 per hour or $5 for all day, for a specified parking space. Visitor enters space number where vehicle is parked into the machine and pays for time needed. The machines accept Visa, MasterCard and coins (U.S. currency only) and does NOT give receipts. When a vehicle is moved from a paid space prior to the expiration of time, balance of time is relinquished without refund. The balance of time does NOT transfer to any other space.
ll George Mason University motor vehicle parking policies and regulations are applicable to the Prince William Campus except as amended below.
Visitor Parking Visitors to the Prince William Campus should park in a numbered parking space, take note of the number, and pay at the electronic parking meter located in the lobby of Discovery Hall or the Parking Kiosk in Occoquan Lot. Instructions for operating the meter can be obtained at the Prince William Campus Information office or Parking Services office. Current meter rates will be displayed at the individual meters. A vehicle which leaves a paid space prior to the expiration of time relinquishes any balance of time without refund. The balance of time does not transfer to any other space.
Freedom Center Parking The lot located adjacent to the Freedom Aquatic and Fitness Center is intended only for members and users of the center during times that they are using the facility only. Parking arrangements for this lot can be made through the Freedom Center. No decal or permit parking is authorized in this lot. Any vehicle parked in Freedom Center with a George Mason University permit is subject to a citation and fine.
Prince William Campus Permits Prince William Campus permits may be purchased at either the Prince William Campus or the Fairfax Campus. Information on the current Prince William Campus sales location can be obtained by contacting Parking Services or the Prince William Campus information office. Permits may also be purchased on-line as described above.
Permit Validity Prince William Campus permits are valid at the Prince William and Fairfax Campus. Prince William Campus permits are not valid at the Arlington Campus. Fairfax and Arlington Campus permits are valid at the Prince William Campus.
